 So a few months back, I finally tore down our signage at the Bukit Timah store and got ready for our big move! It was a really heart pain moment but I was also really excited at the same time, cos I waited SO LONG to move to a bigger and better space! :)  Stuffed everything we had into a truck and off we went! I found this Everton Park unit thanks to my agent friend. It was the first shop it I viewed and I knew I had to seal the deal lol. I just loved the space and location so much. Firstly, it was a $5 grab card ride from home (BAHAHA so with promos, it's usually $1-2 hehe), 2 stops by MRT and we even have a direct bus from the bus stop just right in front of the shop! Secondly, it's a pretty good location, in terms of convenience for customers - only 5 minutes walk from Outram Park MRT, very central! :) Plus the shop was bare when I viewed it, which means renovation is pretty simple and can start very soon!  The lovely uncles who helped us move our stuff that day! They're recommended by our contractor Ah Heng (who is super good too!!), and they're ex-convicts who are working for another chance in life. Felt really meaningful to engage their services, plus it was really affordable too! :) THEY ARE SO SO CHEERFUL AND CUTE.  Love this cute corner! Ah Heng put up the moustache hook for me! He said 给我放 bag 的 hehe.  The day my counter was up, I was so so happy! All the colours turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I even brought my handmade bunting banner from the old shop to hang it on my counter hahaha super sentimental leh.  I always take my kek photos on this (fake) marble counter HAHA. Best background ever please! And because of all the photos I take here, it also always gets dirty oopsie. Sigh, baking and everything is fun, but cleaning up is SO NOT FUN. Not sure about you but I certainly dread cleaning up the most. Dishwashing, wiping, sweeping.. the list goes on. But oh well gotta do what you gotta do! Fortunately for me, cleaning up has gotten a whole lot easier recently! When Dyson approached me some time ago, I was really excited cos their products are always so highly raved! Like the bladeless fan and the Supersonic hair dryer which I saw many of my blogger friends use lolol. NOW MY TURN LIAO LOR. The Dyson V8 is a lifesaver I tell you. We used to have a few conventional vacuum cleaners at home. BUT IT WAS SUCH A TROUBLE TO USE THEM. The dangling cables made it such a pain to navigate the heavy machine around the house, and the cordless one didn't even last more than 15 minutes zz. So imagine my excitement when I laid my hands on this lightweight baby that is not only cordless (no wires to annoy me yay!) but also boasts a 40 minute use time when fully charged! That's more than enough time for me to clean up the space in my bakery hehe :)  Came with various attachments for different cleaning purposes too! How bagus!! The crevice one is my favvv omg more on that later!! Here's a close-up on the different parts and what you can use them for!  I don't use this mattress tool at the shop, but it helps to remove dirt and allergens from mattresses!  This stiff bristles tool is another that I seldom use, but it is efficient in removing dried -in dirt or even mud! :)  Combi tool! I use this for my counter top :)  You can even extend it to use just the brush ends! This is useful when you vacuum protruding right angles!  My fav crevice tool because it's so slim and fits perfectly into those hard to reach gaps! Like in sofa seats, or even under your bed, cupboard, etc! Feels damn shiok when no crumb escapes me!  I use this quite a bit too! For higher shelves, I attach this to use together with my cleaning tools so I can reach the spots that I cannot see ;)  The mini motorised tool which comes with bristles to efficiently pick up dirt like pet fur, or cleaning up carpeted or fabric surfaces like sofas! :)  The soft floor roller tool! Which is the one I use most of the time! This is designed for hard floors and the furry rollers are really good for attracting little dust particles and even fine hairs! Can you see it in my pic? Got one super fine strand of fabric!! Your next question might be, so many parts, need to change here change there, MAFAN OR NOT?? NOT!!  The tools are REALLY easy to remove and attach! Just press down on this button and slide the parts off.  Attaching them is so easy as well! Just position and push, once they click, you're good to go! I love love love it so much.  The vacuum body is also super lightweight and I could easily hold it or bring it up with one hand. Here's me using my crevice tool for the gap between my display fridge and the wall!  NOTHING. ESCAPES. ME.  The little blue light here shows how much power there is left, so you know when to charge your V8! As you can see here, I am only left with one bar hahaha. I filmed myself piping and decorating some cupcakes the other day! Ok la I filmed it for this post, but on usual days, a lot of stuff land on my counter - sprinkles, cake crumbs, cookies, etc.  AND SPILLING STUFF IS COMPLETELY NORMAL (tho very annoying grrr). Here's how my V8 picked everything up in one swift move! I used the soft floor roller tool here in this clip! Close-up! One swift move, y'alllllllll. The V8 was even capable of picking up all the small sugar particles, which as amazing. Can you see the sugar dust???  COME I ZOOM FOR YOU. Can see???  To challenge my V8 further, I also used it to clean up fine flour particles. OK LA I PURPOSELY POUR ON THE FLOOR LA BAHAHAHA. I totally whacked cos I wanted to see if the V8 can efficiently still clean up in one swift move if there's a significant amount of flour! This took two moves to clean up, but it was really clean with no particles left on the floor! You can see that the middle part is totally free of any white dust after 2 swipes hehe. Really impressed here man. And as you vacuum, all the dirt gets conveniently stored in this little compartment.  Pretty dirt? Emptying the dirt is super easy too! You just need to lift the cache and the bottom will open to release everything! I love this part seriously. When you're done, just press it back down and clip the cap back! As shown in my clip! :) Really is easy peasy. Best thing is, my hands didn't have to get in contact with the dirt, which was a plus point cos cleanliness and hygiene is very important when it comes to running a food business ;)  Cleaning (all the way to waste disposal) has never been so easy and hassle-free, but now it is, with the help of my Dyson V8 vacuum cleaner! The product might be on the pricy side but I feel that it's a worthy investment looking at the long term benefits it'll bring to you and your home/work place! :)
