Turning 27

A few days ago, I turned 27. I was in major denial not because I am afraid of turning old but because I actually still feel young at heart?! I still feel like a child in front of Baba and Nya Nya & honestly I behave like some juvenile in front of the sisters (much to their dismay haha). And what the hell I am suddenly considered to be in my 'late twenties'.

The way time flies, it's so scary. My friends are getting married and giving birth to children (!!!) and here I am still feeling like a child myself. I totally cannot imagine myself as a mother at all, not at this stage of my life at least.

Not meeting that special someone doesn't scare me; not feeling the need to meet someone, that does scare me a little. Maybe I'm too comfortable like that. Too much love from friends and family that I haven't been looking for love elsewhere haha. Sometimes I really wonder if I need to get married at all. Or if I'm suitable to be in a relationship at all since I'm such a workaholic. And nine months' pregnancy.. what....... That is the next most scary thing imaginable after lizards.

Ok end of random thoughts. This type of things, leave it to fate. Ha.

So anyways, I spent my birthday at home, as usual. Ever since we had Gooby, I always choose to spend my birthday at home because I want him to be around :) This year, Nya Nya cooked up a feast of all my favourite things! My special request was 'a lot of asparagus' and she cooked two huge plates haha talk about wish come true.

Baked honey wings, truffle fries, asparagus with prawns & scallops, pasta. And red eggs of course haha. Nya Nya prepared all these after we got home in the evening after work (yes, I worked on my birthday) and I have no idea how she did it. Maybe cos superwoman.

Family selfie with the giant birthday glasses! Haha every time when we celebrate someone's birthday we do this. Best thing I bought from Minitoons a million years ago.
Love them so much.

After a very satisfying dinner, we all sat around the dining table & listened to Baba share his love story with Nya Nya. Honestly speaking this is probably the 859th time he shared this story but it never gets old. I love family talks like these. And how the folks keep saying their 'eyes got stamp' so they fell in love with each other when they were obviously crazy about each other. Guess this is love!
