First consultation session! During my 3 weeks here so far, I’ve met so many awesome people there who are genuinely helpful in guiding me through this weight-loss journey and I can’t be more thankful for that! From my personal slimming consultant May, the nutritionists to the friendly therapists who attend to me every session :) When I first knew that Marie France Bodyline wanted to help me lose weight, I was super super excited! I mean, Fann Wong is a living example of what they can do. She lost so much post-pregnancy weight! For my very first slimming session, I tried the Venus Freeze treatment, which is newly launched exclusively at Marie France Bodyline centres in Singapore. I was really lucky to be the first one to try it out! :) I was pretty nervous at first, because I’ve never stepped into a slimming centre! I chose the Bishan outlet btw, since it was super convenient for me to head there from home and after work :) It’s located just beside the bus interchange!  The waiting area! When I walked through the doors, Ann was the first person I met! She was so friendly and led me up to the second level to start on my treatment. The whole place looked super chill and the nice ambience there helped to calm my nerves ;) Felt like I was going for a spa!  Locker area My therapist then received me and led me to the locker area to put down my stuff and then to another room to change into my robe! It was a really soft and comfy robe btw :) After I was done, we went into the treatment room and I was served a cup of warm lemon water.  Lemon water before every treatment :) Tip: It is essential to drink enough water before and after treatments so your body can flush out toxins and broken down fat cells naturally! Every one should drink at least 8 glasses of water (or more) daily :) So hydrate, hydrate & hydrate! After gulping down my drink, I was then told to lie down on my back since I was going to have Venus Freeze done on my abdomen and thigh areas, where most of my fat/cellulite has managed to accumulate. Wuhoo! Btw guys, you probably didn’t know but Venus Freeze is a revolutionary treatment used by aesthetic doctors & Hollywood celebrities to complement their beauty and body contouring regime. Unlike what the name suggests, Venus Freeze is actually a hot/thermal treatment, with the ability to deliver thermal energy up to 43 - 45 degrees Celsius. I know it sounds really really hot but it is in fact a very therapeutic temperature for me! When my therapist moved the applicator across my problem areas, it felt almost like a hot stone massage ;)  My therapist, May, was really well-trained and attentive towards how I felt. She started with a lower temperature and slowly increased it throughout the treatment, not forgetting to stop every once in a while to check on me and measure the temperature with a digital thermometer :) I also really enjoyed how she gently glided the applicator on my body; I kept scaring myself the day before because I imagined treatment to be really scary haha. Like how I’d ALWAYS tear during facials cos they are so painful!! But this was painless and super comfortable, totally the opposite of what I expected! In fact I even fell asleep during that half an hour! I know right. I can really fall asleep anywhere. This is how the applicator looks like:  As you can see, the applicator has 8 probes on it. The patented MP2 technology of Venus Freeze combines Multi-Polar Electromagnetic Current and Pulsed Electric Magnetic Fields for consistent & efficient thermal delivery for optimal comfort. In simpler terms, the heat is evenly distributed among the 8 probes, resulting in a very comfortable treatment :) In addition, this cutting edge technology also allows high levels of radio frequency to penetrate multiple tissue depths of up to 2.75 centimeters! This helps to tighten our saggy skin and produces lifting effects. What happens is that the treatment will promote collagen growth and regenerate our body’s elastin, reducing the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite. The result would be shrunk fat bulges and overall body contouring :) After my treatment, the problem areas looked slightly red but no biggie, cos the redness subsided by the time I got home! There was also no discomfort and I could literally change back into my clothes and be out and about! ;) Seriously cannot wait for my future Venus Freeze sessions cos I’m actually undergoing a different set of treatments for now. During the first meeting with my slimming consultant, she gave me a fat analysis test and customised a slimming program for me, consisting of various treatments like the Cryocelle Phased System and Pro-Freeze. Sounds interesting right! These treatments have been handpicked by her because they are the most suitable for my current body type. I really like how there is no one-package-for-all kind of service here at Marie France Bodyline because the consultants will always customise a treatment for every customer because hey, every girl is different right? We come in different shapes and sizes! ;) Currently, we are in the process of breaking down my fat cells to prep my body for future Venus Freeze sessions where everything will be firmed up HAHA. I can’t wait for that time to come man. Hopefully I’ll be ready for that soon! In this way my vitals like kidneys and colon can work better to process all the food I eat after that! The Marie France Bodyline nutritionist who is assigned to me gave me a sample detox menu that day and I made some slight adjustments to it. I actually have to eat quite a lot of things! Healthy things of course ;) Pretty sure I won’t starve at all haha. Combined with regular treatments, hopefully I’ll be able to achieve results faster :) Will be sharing more about this with you guys in due time so wish me luck & watch this space! ;)
